Since 2016, C24/7 has provided a holistic continuum of care of After School, Out of School, Job Development, and Community Outreach services programming for more than 50,000 duplicated youth and their families. C24/7 has successfully provided youth with academic achievement, life skills, job training, and violence intervention necessary to live life while preventing the gaps in service provision which too often arise from uncoordinated care. C24/7 aims to serve as the catalyst for change for youth, by providing them with confidence and hope for their future. Built on a Youth Mentoring program model, the program’s mentors are intergenerational, comprised of peers, young adults, and adult volunteers.

The program fosters trust, social awareness, and empowerment. And the program’s Mentors serve as role models who provide guidance as they navigate educational and employment opportunities taught to at-risk youth. Youth engaged in the program are taught to acquire positive societal values, increase empathy for others and most importantly, avoid violence and criminal activity, while pursuing their education, post-secondary education attainment, while receiving on-the-job paid employment through our Teen Worker program.

Rogers Park is known for its high rates of crime, poverty, homelessness, and violence. While young men are often seen as the perpetrators and victims of violence, girls are also highly involved in the picture – especially as victims of physical aggression, gun violence, and as devastated bystanders. C24/7 programs bring joy and enthusiasm to Rogers Park children, focusing on young boys and girls, as well as moving them ahead academically and providing them with the educational tools they need to combat risk-factors associated with poverty.

Along with our After School Program, C24/7's community outreach pillar is built on relationships. Through our weekly men's and women's Bible studies, gang and street ministry along with one on one discipleship, we are supporting the men and women in our community to help bring hope and transformation.
